In Loving Memory.... by ~WildeRavan:iconWildeRavan:

In Loving Memory of the People In The Oklahoma City Bombing

Your world was shattered
By someone that wanted to prove a point
(what that point was I don't know)

How could someone be so cruel?
He knew what he was doing
His intent was to murder and maim
To hurt and destruct

What happened to you was pointless
Stupid and absurd

I can only hope that your spirits have moved on
And your bodies are all layed to rest
So that in your next life
You will live a full and happy one

Of The People In the Oklahoma City Bombing

April 19, 1995... 10 years ago People died, and lives were shattered or otherwise changed forever.
Even though I wrote this in 1995 after the bombing happened, and at the time I knew no one directly affected by this tragedy, I have come to know some people that have been directly affected by it, and now I would like to dedicate this poem to a particular family that further helped my understand the magnatude of this tragic event in Oklahoma's and the United States History.

Julia (Last Name Omitted)
(A survivor of the bombing, if it hadn't been for certain circumstances that kept her from arriving on time at work that day, she probably would have been in the rubble with her co-workers. Her office lost the most people out of all the offices in the Alfred P. Murrah building. Fate and Destiny determined that it was not her time to go yet. She had a further purpose to fullfill.)

And Her Children:

James (Last Name Omitted)
Robin (Last Name Omitted)
Danelle (Last Name Omitted)

I now dedicate this poem to you as well as everyone else affected by the events of April 19, 1995. Now that a decade has passed, and the men responsible are behind bars, or have already been put to death, I hope you all can find some peace with-in yourselves and continue to survive and prosper in your lives.

This made me cry. I can't believe that there's cruelty all over. Beautiful.
